Verschiedene
Ansätze werden entsprechend ihrer Eignung für spezifische
Projekte kombiniert und Erweiterungen von klassischen Wirtschaftlichkeitsanalysen
entwickelt wie Dynamisierungen von ROI-Berechnungen durch
Lifetime-Value-Ansätze, Monte-Carlo-Simulationen und
Realoptionsansätze.
IT-Value and IT-Valuation (ROI Calculations
and IT-Business Cases)
IT investments promise to deliver genuine business benefits.
But the difficulty to foresee the acceptance, adoption and
diffusion of the IT investments poses a special challenge
for estimating value payoffs in face of uncertain future developments.
Practitioners have difficulty to capture all or even some
of the benefits of IT Systems with existing traditional capital
budgeting models. We support our clients with various ways
of measuring the business value of IT systems, considering
financial and non-financial, quantitative and qualitative,
traditional and innovative models. We developed dynamic modifications
of ROI calculations, which integrate the business value of
IT systems into the traditional capital budgeting models,
considering Lifetime Value Models, Monte Carlo Simulations
and Real Option Pricing Models.
Value of IT-Architecture and IT-Flexibility
(Real Options)
The most expensive mistakes in software architecture design
are made with respect to the software's flexibility. The cost
of later changes and adaptations of the software are usually
neglected during conventional software development processes,
where only the features of the new version count. Based on
several years of academic work and subsequent practical experience
(see Publications for details), we have developed methodologies
and tools for taking into account the flexibility of a software's
architecture as one of its most important properties. Based
on our methods, we have already achieved a 10-fold decrease
in software change requests and evolution costs for some of
our clients. Let us support you in reducing your own software
evolution costs. This consulting practice is done in cooperation
with Dr. Oliver Stiemerling of Ecambria Systems.
